Families who have lost valuable time together during the pandemic might like to take advantage of a new offer from a hotel group, allowing grandparents to “stay free”.
New research shows that more than half of grandparents agree that creating new memories with extended family is a key priority for 2022.
When asked what they miss most about not being able to spend time together as an extended family, nearly a third of grandparents felt the loss of not receiving hugs, while nearly a fifth missed being laughed at.
After missing milestones, multi-generational travel, made up of grandchildren, parents and grandparents traveling together, is on the rise.
Thus, the hotel group IHG Hotels & Resorts offers a special offer to help families spend pleasant and relaxed moments together.

The psychologist, Dr Audrey Tang, said: “Over the past two years, we have been deprived of the wonderful element of connection with each other.
“Grandchildren are born, children grow up, parents and grandparents were limited to waving on online platforms. It was something, but it’s not the same as real, personal , in life.
“Lack of human physical contact can lead to lower levels of happiness, higher reports of depression and stress, but as restrictions have been lifted, people can come together again to embrace life and one another. others, changing their environment and creating new memories and experiences as a family.”
