“Going to a restaurant can be a treat, but for me the real story of food is told through the cooking we do at home,” Nigella said in a statement.

“So having the chance to champion home cooks and having the intimate privilege of being invited into people’s homes to eat their food fills me with gratitude and excitement in equal measure!”

She added, “I’m so looking forward to working with Manu too. Although he is a chef and I am a home cook, the fact is that we both want to eat good food. I feel like I have a lot to learn from him, but just know that we’ll have a lot of fun in the process. I can not wait !’

Home is where the heart is: “Going to a restaurant can be a treat, but for me the real story of food is told through the cooking we do at home,” Nigella said of her new role on MKR.
